Guilford Democratic Town Committee Supports June 16th Referendum
Below is a message from Marti Carlson, Chairwoman of the Guilford Democratic Town Committee:
Dear Friend,
At it's regular monthly meeting on May 27th, the Guilford Democratic Town Committee passed a resolution supporting the referendum to be held on June 16th. This referendum seeks approval of funds to hire an architectural firm that will provide information on design options and costs for a reconstructed high school. This is not a referendum on whether to build a new high school; it is an effort to acquire the details necessary to make an informed decision. A future referendum will allow Guilford townspeople to vote yes or no on a new high school. This first step is exactly the right approach to making sound fiscal and educational decisions, and the Guilford DTC supports it. Please vote Yes on June 16th.
