PACT Updates

* We had over a dozen members present last night for phonebanking, with Page Taft generously donating space and phone lines. We focused on parents and response was very positive – we will be looking at another date in late February and ramping up more as we head into budget season.

* Ed Greene attended a marathon BOF/BOE/ meeting with a focus on the budget and his summary is attached. Thanks Ed for keeping us up to date.

* "Rebuild GHS" is now a Facebook group (thank you Cheilaugh Garvey!). If you haven't dabbled in facebook I would recommend you get up to speed – I joined about a month ago and have found myself reacquainted with several people I thought I would never see again (some more welcome than others!).

* Keith Mitzelfelt has updated the website, check it out if you get a chance: www.guilfordpact.org (thank you Keith!)

* One of our members, Nikki Rasmussen, has organized an inauguration party to be held next Tuesday at Café Allegre in Madison, tickets are still available. While PACT remains non-partisan, this is without a doubt a historic moment regardless of party and should be a fun time, contact Nikki at nikki@yolo.ws or 952-1690.

* Are there any good spellers out there? PACT is planning to participate in the GFFE Spelling Bee on Friday, February 6th and we could use a couple more people.
